Irwin Fritchie team wins “Best Overall” award at the 2006 New Orleans Bar Association Bar & Grille.
At the June 10th New Orleans Bar Association Bar & Grille, the husband and wife team of Ben Gersh and Cami Capodice, along with team member Missy Thornton, picked up the award for Best Overall for their duck confit on grit cakes with hoison sauce. The event benefited the New Orleans Legal Assistance Corporation (NOLAC), a local non-profit organization that helps people of low financial means with civil issues.

Quentin F. Urquhart, David M. Melancon, and Douglas J. Moore successfully defended negligence and breach of contract claims filed against national pest control company.
The plaintiff sought more than $16 million in damages to cleanup alleged soil and groundwater contamination. Defense counsel established that the residual levels of chemicals found at the site posed no threat to human health and the environment, eliminating any need for further remediation. After a six-day trial and less than an hour of deliberation, the jury returned a zero verdict. |
